Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
TrustHub ("we", "us", or "our") operates trusthub.id. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our platform. By creating an account or using TrustHub, you agree to this policy.
1. Account Tiers and Information We Collect
TrustHub offers two account tiers, each with different data requirements:
Email-Only Accounts (Read-Only Access): You may create an account with just an email address and username. Email-only accounts provide read-only access to TrustHub content. We collect and store only your email address and username. Email-only accounts cannot post content, comment, or participate in community features.
Verified Accounts (Full Participation): To post content, comment, and fully participate on TrustHub, you must complete identity verification through our third-party provider, Didit (didit.me). In addition to your email and username, we receive and store your verified status and legal name from Didit. We do not store copies of your identity documents.
For all accounts, we may also collect:
- Profile information: profile photo, bio, and other details you choose to add
- Communications: messages you send through the platform
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and other interaction data
2. Geographic Restriction
TrustHub currently accepts verified members with United States government-issued identification only. By completing verification, you confirm that you hold a valid US government-issued ID. Email-only accounts are not geographically restricted. We may expand verified membership to other regions in the future.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To verify your identity and maintain platform trust and safety
- To enable communications between members
- To send you service-related notifications (you may opt out of non-essential emails)
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service
- To understand how our platform is used in aggregate through analytics
- To measure the effectiveness of our advertising
- To improve and develop our platform
4. Identity Verification Data
All government ID verification is performed by Didit, an independent identity verification provider. When you begin verification, you are redirected to Didit's secure platform. TrustHub does not have access to, and does not store, photos of your identity documents. Didit handles all ID verification data processing and retention under their own privacy policy at didit.me/privacy.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share your data only:
- With Didit for identity verification
- With Google Analytics for aggregate traffic analysis (see Section 9)
- When required by law or to respond to valid legal process
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of TrustHub, our users, or the public
- With your explicit consent
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and secure server infrastructure. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide our services. The data TrustHub stores directly includes: your email address, username, verified status, legal name (for verified accounts), profile information, and content you post. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below.
Identity verification records (including ID document images and biometric data) are held and retained exclusively by Didit under their own retention policy. TrustHub does not have access to this data after the verification process is complete.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
- The right to access the personal data we hold about you
- The right to correct inaccurate data
- The right to request deletion of your data
- The right to object to or restrict certain processing
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below.
9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
TrustHub uses the following cookies and tracking technologies:
- Session cookies (connect.sid): Essential cookies to keep you logged in. These are strictly necessary for the platform to function.
- Google Analytics (G-1952M5SYGB): We use Google Analytics to collect aggregate, anonymized data about how visitors use TrustHub, such as pages visited, time on site, and general traffic patterns. This helps us understand and improve the platform. Google Analytics may set its own cookies. You can learn more at Google's Privacy Policy.
- Reddit Pixel: We use Reddit's tracking pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Reddit. This pixel collects data about page visits and sign-up conversions to help us understand which ads bring users to TrustHub. You can learn more at Reddit's Privacy Policy.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies that serve ads on TrustHub. For more details and opt-out instructions, see our Cookie Policy.
10. Children's Privacy
TrustHub is intended for users aged 18 and over. Email-only accounts are read-only and do not collect personal information beyond an email address and username. Verified accounts require a US government-issued ID, which inherently requires the holder to be 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or through the platform. Continued use of TrustHub after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
