Effective: July 26, 2026
Ayos ("the App") is developed by Matthew Ong. This policy describes how the App handles your information.
Ayos stores all data locally on your device by default. The links you save, your lists, notes, YouTube channel subscriptions, and imported YouTube liked videos are kept in your device's local storage using Apple's standard UserDefaults.
If you subscribe to Ayos Premium, your data may be synced via Apple's iCloud infrastructure, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
If you choose to sign in with Google, Ayos requests read-only access to your YouTube account via the YouTube Data API v3, using the OAuth scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly. This is used for exactly one purpose:
— Importing your Liked Videos playlist so you can browse it and organize it inside the App. Ayos reads the list of videos you have liked (video IDs, titles, channel names, thumbnails, and the date you liked each video). Ayos cannot like, unlike, comment, post, or modify your YouTube account in any way.
Storage: Your imported liked-videos list is stored only on your device, alongside your other Ayos data. Your Google sign-in refresh token is stored in the iOS Keychain on your device; short-lived access tokens are kept in memory only and never written to disk.
Transmission: Requests for your liked videos travel directly from your device to Google's servers. They do not pass through, and are never received by, our proxy server or any other server we operate. We never see your Google credentials or your liked-videos data.
Sharing: We do not sell, share, transfer, or disclose your Google user data to any third party, and we do not use it for advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than displaying and organizing your liked videos within the App.
Revocation & deletion: You can sign out inside the App at any time, which deletes the stored sign-in token from your device. You can also revoke Ayos's access entirely at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Your imported liked-videos list is stored only locally and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
Ayos's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The App connects to the following services to fetch link metadata (titles and thumbnails):
— Microlink API (api.microlink.io): Used to fetch page titles and preview images for saved links.
— noembed.com: Used to fetch metadata for YouTube video links.
— YouTube Data API (via our proxy server): Used to search for channels and fetch episode listings. Requests are proxied through our server; these requests contain no account information and are unrelated to the optional Google Sign-In described above.
— YouTube Data API (direct, with your OAuth token): Used only if you sign in with Google, to import your Liked Videos playlist as described in the section above.
These services receive the URLs you save in order to fetch their metadata. We do not control the privacy practices of these third-party services.
Ayos does not include any analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking tools. We do not collect usage data, crash reports, or device identifiers.
We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties for any purpose.
All data is stored locally on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App. If you use iCloud sync via Ayos Premium, data is retained according to Apple's iCloud policies.
Ayos is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
